:scream: :scream: :scream: Your fight styloid is the stuff nightmares are made of, @OMM9420! I will also pray that your surgery isn’t put off & you can get that thing outta there tomorrow!!

Your left side looks nasty, too, because of how curved it is but the right definitely is at the top of the worst styloids we’ve seen on here.

Thanks for not scaring me at all :joy::joy::joy:

The appearance of your right styloid is scary!! :winking_face_with_tongue: I expect you’ll feel so much better when both are gone but the right one in particular!!

How did you get on with Mr Hughes, is he okay to go ahead with your surgery this time?

@OMM9420 I can help you assess whether your IJVs are being compressed between your styloids and C1. It appears your CT wasn’t with contrast, but I’m getting pretty good at reading CTs that I think I can provide a good estimate.

Can you go to the axial view of your imaging and go to C1? It’s the vertebrae that has a white circle in the top middle and has wings. I’ve attached my own imaging to help you know what to look for!

is this it ? That’s all I can find @TML

Unfortunately he had to postpone it, we are not sure what’s making me sick.

It’s better to get an endoscopy first to see why I feel sick for a while now, stomach pain, headache, dizzy and fatigue.

Might be h pylori might be something else

Holy moly @OMM9420 . See attached your annoted imaging.

Your right IJV is almost completely pinched off between your right styloid and C1. Can barely see the IJV. This means your vagus is almost certainly compressed too.

Your left IJV is also compressed, but at least we can actually see it. You essentially have one IJV currently.

No wonder you have intracranial hypertension symptoms. And your stomach issues is probably coming from the vagus nerve. You need both styloids removed.

I’m having bad stomach problems, my neuro thinks it could be compression on vagus nerve. Could it be that for you ?

Almost definitely is the reason for @OMM9420 ‘s stomach pain based on their imaging.

@TML I’ve seen the ENT today , I asked him if this could be causing all these symptoms he said probably not. That’s problem with surgeons .

Also someone told me to remove left side a week after I remove the right side, ENT told me I wouldn’t do that . It’ll be too much let’s just remove the right side and see what happens if you don’t feel any better then there is no reason to remove the left one

@TML i also get pain in shoulders and upper back .

You think it might be from it too ?

@Figuringitout well I do have stomach problems from the eagle syndrome but something happened in July that changed all symptoms, I start getting ulcers on tongue non stop recurring , shifting from right to left every week plus weird taste in mouth and stomach pain nausea etc really think I got a bug . The doctors suspect H pylori

@OMM9420 I’ve been on this form for months and months annotating imaging. I promise you that you have the thickest styloid I’ve ever seen and the most squished IJV I’ve ever seen. That right styloid needs to be removed, and it needs to be removed above the level of C1. I’ve never been more certain than anything while on this forum. You just need to find the right ENT.

I think your shoulders and upper back pain may be caused by your styloids. They may be compressing or irritating your spinal accessory nerves. The nerves responsible for innervating the shoulders/trap area

I suspect acid reflux from vagus nerve compression from your styloids. Acid reflux destroys the inside of the mouth. I’ve had nonstop canker sores, soft feeling teeth, and acid wash in the back of my throat. Vagus is directly responsible for acid reflux and GI dysfunction. Not saying there is zero chance you don’t have H pylori as well, but I am 99.9% sure your vagus is implicated

@TML The ENT I’m seeing is very good.

He is recommended by a lot of people on here.

Mr Hughes, you know him ?

The problem is in July I’ve been with a girl and this is when I started getting the ulcers and all these symptoms. I did all the necessary sti testing all are negative, even bacterial and fungus swab.

Doctors tell me that I could even get h pylori just from kissing .

So definitely my symptoms changed when I saw this girl. Also I took doxycycline for 2 weeks and my symptoms got better the ulcers went away and my stomach pain got better and 2 days after finishing the doxycycline I got the ulcers again stomach pain and all. I can share photos of the ulcers it just doesn’t look good

I think metronidazole could help to clear whatever is there .

@OMM9420 I’m not familiar with many of the doctors on this forum. But I think it’s absurd that the ENT doesn’t think your headaches, eye pressure, and general head pressure isn’t coming from your what appears to be a completely closed off IJV. Where else does he think it’s coming from? Where does he think the pain shooting down your neck is coming from? To me it’s blatantly obvious from the scan.

Sorry to hear about your recent mishaps in the dating world :grimacing:. I hope that gets all cleared up fast!

@TML I don’t want to date again :sob:

I was so close to getting this surgery done !

Actually a lot of ENTs don’t think it’s related at all.
