XAngelx35,
So glad to hear you are moving forward. The medication they can give you during the venogram is very helpful for a comfortable experience, wont knock you out but is very relaxing. I am also glad to hear you have great confidence in your doctor, a good rapport goes miles! Wishing you the best
Hi, I was just wondering what is intercranial venous outlet? It was mentioned in a letter I received today from Mr Axon. Is this somehow related to Eagles Syndrome or is it 2 different conditions. I have been having very bad brain fog for a few months now and couldnât really concentrate on what was said. Does anyone else have this condition as well as ES?
Good morning
âIntercranial venous outletâ refers to the veins that exit the skull. Most commonly related to ES is the internal jugular vein which exits through the jugular foramen. Is the IJV named at all in your letter? Hope this is helpful. Navigating medicine (or anything) with brain fog is quite the feat, I can completely relate! Hang in there it will get betterâŠhave a lovely dayđ»
Heâll be looking at the scans to see if the jugular veins are compressed by the styloid processes. When theyâre compressed the blood canât flow as well out the brain & can give symptoms like head pressure, dizziness & the good old brain fog.
