When I’ve taken steroids for various symptoms/pain, I’ve been instructed to start with a high dose & work down to a lower dose then wean off completely over a couple of weeks. I think the highest I ever started with was 50 mg for 2-3 days then down to 40, 30, 20, & 10 over time before stopping. You’d need to ask your prescribing doctor before doing that yourself, but that system worked well for me. If you’re taking prednisone over a longer period, then 25 mg may just take longer to be affective as @Jules & you both said.

I’m sorry but I don’t know much about Botox either. I do recall, as Jules does, that it may take more than one injection for it to be effective. Here’s a link to a recent post by @Kgreene where she mentions Botox helped relieve her symptoms: [What I’ve been up to! - #4 by Jules](https://forum.livingwitheagle.org/t/what-i-ve-been-up-to/23085/4)
