That’s good news
If I could get those symptoms, relieved that would make me so happy
As I said in a different post
My only caveat is my right side, transverse sinus and Internal jugular are both small caliber from birth and the left side is really big so likely my right side compression doesn’t mean much anyway because I have such a patent and huge left side.. I have something called an arachnid granulation in my left trans sinus, which drains into the left jugular so that might be causing my blockage, not allowing my dominant side to drain properly
I’m afraid that if I work on the right jugular, it still may not solve my problems because my dominant side is the left anyway and I might just need to fix the left transverse sinus So that I can get my dominant side to open back up again And drain properly If I can do that, my right jug of compression might not be so significant because my right side is tiny anyway And probably not doing much of the heavy lifting
At this point the only way to tell us with a catheter gram, so that’s probably my next step
Since your left IJV is your dominant side, @Deanm, I’d expect that’s the side you’d have worked on first. Has someone suggested that you should have the right side done first? Normally w/ bilateral IJV compression, if there is a dominant side, that is where a surgeon will start unless the other side is potentially causing worse problems.
I did my non dominant side first (left) because it was more stenosed and it did relieve left sided headache but those veins were pretty diminutive so Dr. Nakaji was pretty certain I would need to decompress the right side. After the second surgery all those other symptoms were relieved. Good luck to you!
