Hi & welcome to the site!  
I never had the feeling of a lump in my throat or throat closing sensation so was very lucky, that does sound scary, especially if you’re already anxious about your health!  
There have been lots of CT images posted, here’s a couple you could look at, or use the search function to look for more:
