Yes . They offered me the 10th but I wanted to spend Motherās Day with my son.
Not long away! Thereās lots of info all about what to expect after surgery you can search for if youāve not read up already, so you know what to expect & things to get ready. Weāll all be behind you & praying for you! Sending you a hug while you wait!
Thatās fantastic, one_day! So glad itās coming up soon!
Does Dr. Samji run any tests prior to surgery? Like blood tests or anything to make sure we are healthy enough for surgery? My family member was asking me when I would have the pre-op testing and I realized they did not discuss that with me.
Congrats one day.
The unknown is scary but you picked the best surgeon. You will be glad you did it. Does he put the drains in and stay overnight in the hospital?
I didnāt ask about drains but he said itās outpatient and that I would be discharged back to my hotel a few hours after surgery.
No drains (he Rxs prednisone to help w/ post op swelling), & I donāt recall any pre-surgical testing when I had my surgeries but that was 6 years ago & there are many details Iāve forgotten. Itās a good question to ask.
Dr. Samji was my surgeon and he is awesome .
Did he do any pre-op testing? The only thing I was told is that Iāll have an exam and a covid test the Friday before.
I didnāt have any pre surgery blood work.
Thanks. I havenāt had surgery before so when my grandma asked me if scared me. Seems like nobody really has so I guess thatās standard.
I was able to move my surgery to May 10th. Iām very nervous so figure less time stewing is better. I canāt describe how very scared I am for this procedure. I am really hoping all goes well and I can be one of the success stories. Thank you everyone for your support.
Good the date has been moved forward! I thought Dr Samji usually has people come in for a pre-op appt, from what others have said, maybe you could email the office?
Oh yes I do have a pre-op the Friday before. I was told they only do pre-op testing if you have severe health issues so I provided my health issues and will let them make that call obviously. Iām just a ball of nervesā¦
Yay!!! Good for you. I am putting you on my calendar to pray for you and your surgeon. What time is your surgery?
You are smart to get it done sooner rather than later.
I am day 11 post-op and wish someone would have dx this years ago. I am sure the styloids in my case have been there a really long time.
Today I told my husband WOW feels like the heavy clouds of pain have lifted. I still have slight surgery tenderness but I am so happy I had the surgery. Hope everything continues to progress the way it has. I still havenāt had any dizziness and the ground is stable and doesnāt feel like someone is sitting on my chest.
Thank you so much! I donāt have a time yet but I will let you know when I do. Iām so thankful you are feeling better.
So pleased that youāve seen improvements already! Thatās great news
