First Bite Syndrome is somewhat common w/ ES surgery & other surgeries in the neck & throat areas. For many people it only lasts a few weeks to a few months. For others it lasts longer. The good news is that the symptoms become less & less severe & the occurrences less frequent as time passes. It is treatable w/ nerve pain medication if necessary.

That’s great news! Not too long to wait! @eastmas1 is having surgery the same day as you with Dr Hackman in NC; it’s nice to know someone else is recovering the same time as you- Isaiah & I had our first surgeries about the same time, it was a help! Lots of info on here about what to expect if you’ve not already read up, just use the search function…I’ll be praying for you
