I don’t know why they’d measure that unless it somehow gives a better idea of either styloid length or the possible impact of the styloid length on nerves & vascular tissues. We usually only see the styloid &/or calcified s-h ligament (if significant enough) lengths measured.

I wish you luck on your journey. The first pix you uploaded on the right…..that styloid has a very weird angle on it. It almost seems to be touching C1? Im not sure if I am looking at the front or back view. Maybe other can take a closer look at it.

@Snapple2020 & @PeanutsMom - The picture Snapple posted is from the front, & that’s the left stylohyoid ligament calcification she circled. Below is an image from a different angle which shows there is decent space between the calcification & C1.
