I’ve been town between vascular eagles or pots . Can you explain the symptoms difference like how each one feels ? I really don’t think I have pots but idk cause I’m so drunk like off balance all the time and have had presyncope but it’s not from heat , movement , or typical pots things it’s more from like head movement , I don’t really feel better at all on pots meds either sooooo I’m lost in all this . I mean a beta blocker helped my tachycardia but I think eagles can cause that too right ? Compression doesn’t help me either

It’s not always easy to narrow down what’s causing what! I don’t have POTS, so can’t comment on that, you can use the search function to look up info about that as we have had a few discussions in the past. But I did have IJV compression, which made me feel like I was drunk, & was off-balance most of the time- others have described it like being on a boat too. I had head & ear pressure, pulsatile tinnitus, and some full on dizzy spells. Feelings like sucking or rolling in your head can happen, & weird sensations like being much closer to the ground than you are, wearing a hat, & falling/dropping when you’re not.
You’re right that ES can cause tachycardia, if the vagus nerve is affected and also if the carotid artery sinus is irritated. That can cause syncope/ pre-syncope too…I wish I could give you a definitive answer, but unfortunately sometimes the only way to know is to see what resolves after surgery 😟
