# Surgery next week!

It is more of a sore throat pain… Kind of like the worst case of strep or tonsillitis you’ve ever had. It hurts but not as much as many “adult tonsillectomy” horror stories I’d read online.

Nope, he only removed the side that was causing me problems. The recovery is painful (swallowing hurts) but not as bad as I had planned for. I imagine it will be awhile before I can really tell how much of the ES symptoms are gone.
