Eaglewings - Did your CT show if your stylohyoid ligaments are calcified? You can have normal styloids but calcified ligaments which present you w/ the same sorts of symptoms you’re describing. Calcified ligaments in the absence of elongated styloids is still ES.
Also, see if you can get a copy of the written report for your most recent CT scan so you can read what the radiologist wrote & especially check to see if the styloids were measured & if so how long they are. Sometimes even normal length styloids can create ES symptoms if they’re extra thick or angled steeply in one direction or another. The response that your “styloids look normal” seems like a dismissal of styloids/s-h ligaments as the possible culprits for your symptoms rather than a thorough evaluation.
