What Testing do I need to have done?
What type of DR do I need to see to have this checked?
I tried asking a Nurse with Dr Hackman so that I could possibly be more prepared for my Appointment in May but she didn’t want to give me incorrect information, and that’s completely understandable.. but, time is of the essence, as I’m sure you all understand…
It isn’t critical for Dr. Hackman to have a scan showing your vagus nerve is compressed. That can be demonstrated by the symptoms you have. Since the vagus nerve is the largest, & most invasive (in our bodies), of our cranial nerves, it is always affected by elongated styloids. What symptoms do you have that you think are related to your vagus nerve?

If you’re concerned about IJV compression, you’d need to get a dynamic ultrasound of your IJVs in your neck or an angiogram which is more invasive.

I have a vast array of Symptoms but the ones that stand out from common Eagles Symptoms that I have been seeing a Neurologist for are numbing of the extremities (feet, hands and arms), slurred speech, studder, forgetting words or train of thought, hypersalivation, complete sensory sensitivity that I’ve never had before, and the newest is the constant feeling of a UTI but no Bacteria is found when I’m tested, I’m just unable to go to the Bathroom correctly… I’ve just been told it’s Persistent Post Concussion Syndrome and Trigeminal Neuralgia… but I am 1 day away from the 1 year mark of the Attack and some of these are new/worsening…
Thank you for the document… I will look into that… I had an Angiogram done and there wasny much found there…
