@bs9652 - @Sammi is another member who had surgery w/ Dr. Cognetti. I can’t remember if she had IJV decompression, but I think she didn’t. Here are links to some of her discussions:

> Hi, I just wanted to say that I am also being treated by Dr. Cognetti, and he is the best! I have a lot of medical anxiety from some experiences when I was younger, so I really appreciate how straightforward Dr. Cognetti is while still being very compassionate. I think you will have a good experience with him.

I have not had the other side done as I have no significant Eagle’s symptoms on that side at this time (though scans show that that side is also elongated, so I know it may be a future possibility). I do understand the worry about further paralysis. That is one of my worries should I have to get the other side done eventually because this whole experience was so stressful.

If you need an overnight stay in the hospital, even just for peace of mind, after your surgery w/ Dr. Cognetti, let him know that. I expect he will be able to arrange for you to be admitted to stay overnight after surgery.
