3 months post up bilateral Vascular surgery

I there I had decompression surgery 3 months ago with a dr in turkey, which included styliodectomy c1 shave, digastric muscle clipping. My symptoms of not being able to go sleep cause of venous congestion when lying down is still there. I still have pulsatile tinnitus in my left jugular that one that was partially narrowed. Also have a csf leak that wont heal I think due to the ongoing congestion. What would be appropriate steps to take next? I got a ct scan in 3 days but as for supplements/lifestyle modifications/Hacks what should I do?

I’m sorry you’re still having problems.
Have you tried taking Diazepam before bed to relax your muscles?
For me, it’s the drug that helps the most to prevent headaches during sleep.
It should be taken into account that muscle spasm causes additional compression on the IJV.
As for nutrition, you can find out for yourself what is healthy and do your best to take it.
I use a lot of black cumin seeds, chia, sesame, flax… I grind all of that, mix it with muesli cereals and keep it soaked in kefir for a few hours. I use that meal every day.

I’m sorry that you’re still having symptoms despite surgery, has any thing improved?
Sleeping propped up can help, if you’re not doing that already. Some members have had improvements with taking blood thinners/ anticoagulants, like brilinta, plavix, xarelto, they’ve all been mentioned on the forum so you could search for info about those… It might be long term that you could need a stent to keep the jugular vein open, it’s a big step though so shouldn’t be undertaken lightly. You mentioned that the left one was partially narrowed- is that because of the compression or is it a non-dominant one?
Let us know what the CT scan shows, thinking of you :folded_hands:

Non doninant side and compression. It was stenosised before totally occluded. Its slowly opening up though
