@vcp02 Did you ever experience a consistent itch (deep itch) in the areas around your SCM muscle and around your styloid processes, prior to your op? It would be a combination of (kind of a wrenched neck) pain and deep itching all around the area.
Sorry despite the million and one symptoms I cannot say this was one. That being said the body is connected in ways we will never understand. Just because we do not understand that connection doesn’t mean its not associated.

@vcp02 - Did you have both sides or one side ? If both but separate can you tell me if you had improvement in between ?

I had them done 1 week apart from each other, yes I felt improvement in-between. Right side done first, Days 1-2 days post op symptoms from the right side flared and gradually subsided. Within that week I could designate what symptoms stemmed from what side. ( Right side was all of the nerve pain symptoms, left was mostly vascular and brain fog) Week later I had the other side and the full recovery began. The first 1-3 months I experiences rapid improvement, 80% of the recovery honestly felt instantaneous then after things slowed down. Ice packs worked well for the heart palpitations that persist periodically for a few weeks. I am now 8 months post op. The only symptom remaining is the tinnitus though the severity has dwindled.
