A week out from surgery with Dr.Cognetti

Hi, I am just reading your comment about how you had undiagnosed Lyme disease and how you feel that contributed to Eagles syndrome. I also had undiagnosed Lyme disease and just a few months ago diagnosed with Vascular Eagles Syndrome. Been suffering for over 13 years. It’s been hell. I always wondered if the Lyme was connected to the Eagles syndrome. Please share your opinion on that ?

and I would take any articles that connect the two also if you have them

Thanks

Hi Star,

Glad to hear you are recovering. Since Dr. Hackman will not accept virtual appointments for first time patients, I have a virtual appointment with Dr. Cognetti in October.

Does Dt.Cognetti remove calcified ligaments also?

I believe so but you’ll need to ask him to make sure.

Good question, I don’t but will ask him…

Hi, can anyone please share if their jugular vein opened after styloid removal alone (NO ballooning of the vein), if so what percentage was blocked?

Thank you

hi, yes my right styloid was just removed last week and I can feel JV has opened without ballooning. I don’t have any % info. I am less sure about whether left styloid cutting has opened up that JV or not. Need to get scanned. Hope that helps. D
