A Word From Seenie

We know. Right now, it just seems like bad news and more bad news, doesn’t it? And yet in some ways, we are fortunate to be rare disease patients. One of those ways is that we are part of a global Ben’s Friends community where we can go for understanding and empathy. Within this community, we talk openly about things that really matter to us and to our families. No annoying religious or political arguments, silly memes or lame jokes. And no judgment. We share, we compare, and we support each other, even though most of our community friends are known to us by screen name only.

Membership in the rare disease “club” does have a few benefits, and our membership in this community is one of them. Log in, drop by or stay awhile. Offer a kind word. Support someone who is struggling. Reach out for a pick-me-up yourself. The special bond of friendship is here, and this thread is open for your comments.

Stay safe and keep well

If login isn’t working for you, getting back into the community is easy:

Your “User Name” is your email address.

Then say you’ve forgotten your password (even if you remember it).

Follow the instructions. And there you go.

Welcome back!

Thanks Seenie, I was thinking the same thing. This is also a place for us to maybe lend a word to those struggling with the confines of social distancing along with the trials that many of us are facing. So many people do not have a safe place of like minded friends, who struggle with a common bond already.

Thanks Seenie- how are you doing after your op? Nice to have you back! :hugs: :bouquet:

Awww, you are too kind, Jules. It’s lovely to be getting back with our members. My back is fine (well, ok, still achey) and I still have restrictions on my movement. But the horrendous pain from the spinal stenosis is well and truly gone.
And see? This is what I was talking about in my post: there’s something special in our friendships here. A kindness, a concern and a “something” that has touched me. Thanks so much for asking, Jules!
And another thing: social distancing means NOTHING here. :hugs:

Hi Seenie!

I had no idea you’d had surgery but am so glad to read it was effective. I hope/pray for your complete healing.

I noticed you hadn’t posted anything in awhile, but since I don’t see much from Mod Support, I didn’t think anything of it. My mistake!!

We’re in full “stay at home” mode here. :upside_down_face:
