Cerebral angiography done

Continuing the discussion from Ok…here’s my CT…and no mention of styloids, but I think they are compressing IJV..Opinions?:

Thanks for this….doc is recommending styloidectomy and C1 shave. I also have SCM entrapment on the Left side between the SCM and the omohyoid which explains a lot of my symptoms related to head turning, because the jugular is completely occluded with head turning as recently discovered with cerebral angiography.

Hopefully will work on the authorization and find out about surgery.

Well, that’s great news, @Nanc765, except for the part you have IJV compression & need a C1 shave! I’m glad you’re officially diagnosed so you can move forward with surgery & healing. Are you planning to have Dr. Fargen do your surgery?

That is the plan for right now…my insurance considers the procedure ‘experimental’ and doesn’t cover so have a bit of an insurance battle ahead.

Good that a plan has been confirmed, I read your other post quickly, is it Dr Costantino you’re seeing? Will he do the right or left side, and will the SCM be resected at all to help with that?
I hope that you can get authorisation from your insurance company!

I’m seeing Dr. Fargen for it currently. As far as the SCM, going to go see a PT to see if I can work on some intensive stretching on that side. Just saw a paper about botox working too, so may try some conservative things first.
