Thank you for posting the link to the FB group in Australia, @Gina1961. There is also one in the US, but I’ve chosen to stay off of it because it’s a pretty negative place.

The image the AU FB forum has posted is ES at the extreme! I can’t imagine the symptoms that poor person must have had w/ a styloid growing behind C1 as well as one in front & also with how long both are!! Looks like the skull base is abnormally rotated. YIKES!! :scream: :scream:

Thanks for the article @Gina1961, it’s interesting to see the success rates of surgeries, here’s a link to it directly in case others want to see it:
Invasive surgical management of cervical internal jugular venous compression: A literature review - ScienceDirect
And I’ll add it in to the Research papers category.

I have PT and my emissary veins are too large as my jugular bulb

@Hamela - Can anything be done to help with those things?

Hi hamela saw you had surgery. Did your symptoms improve?

Apparently they will deflate with time.

Hi,

All my symptoms are but pulsating tinnitus which is less. My emissary veins are still too large.

Tx

Audrey

It will take time :hugs:

I just realized that emissary veins are probably equivalent to the collateral veins that enlarge to help the IJV blood flow. I do know they reduce w/ time as the IJV(s) begin functioning more efficiently again. You will feel better as that begins happening.
