Last month I learnt that Mr Daryll Baker, a vascular surgeon in UK, performs surgery regularly for UK NHS patients who are at risk of stroke due to styloid compressing the cartoid artery. i mention this in case it helps other UK members with this condition.
I have not met Mr Baker and I think he may not currently treat UK patients whose JV is compressed by styloid bone. I am trying to see him and will try to post update if I do. He may be worth adding to UK surgeon list if not already listed? He seems to have private practice at Cleveland Clinic in London also. D
Thank you so much for the information about Mr. Baker, @PatientD. I hope you’re able to get an appt w/ him. It would be great if he treated both carotid & jugular compressions caused by the styloids.
I’ll add him to our Doctors List as he sounds like a great resource.
Would be great if he also treated JVC due to protruding C1 vertebra, but that’s probably different if the C1 has to be shaved. Excuse me talking aloud!
