Has anyone tried this or know of anyone who has started go fund me for rare and weird medical conditions?
I feel awkward even thinking this but I just don’t know what to do anymore.

It’s not something that Ben’s Friends can support (like links to your page from here) as most people are in the same boat with needing help with treatment, but I think there have been a couple of members who have tried this ![]()
I believe one of Dr. Osborne’s patients did that,
Eagle Syndrome Surgery: Life-Changing Experience for a Blue Collar Worker | Dr. Ryan Osborne https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=THEGIn_njns
@MGORNEAU - I just saw that Dr. Osborne video a couple of weeks ago & it came to mind when @Getmused asked his question. I’m glad you linked it for him.
@Getmused - Do you have any sort of medical insurance coverage that could at least partially help you or are you having to pay the whole bill yourself? Go Fund Me would definitely be an option, & you could share your link on FaceBook if you have a FB account. I think there are other sites that help with funding for personal needs, too.
Another option is look into the WITT program we have noted on our home page. It works by creating an email list of family, friends, co-workers, etc., & then sending your needs, financial & otherwise, out to that group via the WITT platform. It’s a way of asking for help indirectly. Worst case scenario, if someone can’t or doesn’t want to help, they simply don’t reply. Maybe using both the WITT approach & Go Fund Me could help generate the funds you need for ES surgery.
