Images - jugular vein compression? Vagus nerve involvement? Severe disabling symptoms

Im on the hunt myself for a functional medicine doctor myself. It seems like endocrinologists don’t generally take HRT on as far as I have experienced. Maybe because it was so poo-pooed for so many years, they ignored it.

I had a consult with Dr. Bluestein in Dec as I was desperate to find out about this left flank pain. She was the one who suggested I get checked out for May-Thurner and Nutcracker. Until then pelvic vascular compression were not on my radar. I was evaluated and was DX with both. Additionally, in my quest to find out the source of my left flank/Ab pain, I also had a consult to see if I had Slipping Rib syndrome and that doctor saw the scans indicating possible MALS. I have spent the last 3 months trying to educate myself on this and it can be overwhelming. I thought perhaps you had some symptoms of these vascular compressions. IM not sure where you live but getting evaluated for MALS and treated will likely require traveling to specialists. I have had several evaluations for TOS with mixed results. The last doc I saw, I don’t think wanted to operate on an hEDS patient and Ive seen a few and had lots of testing over a period of several years. Ive heard of only a few TOS Centers of Excellence in the country, one on east coast and another I think at Baylor in Houston.

Here is recent video podcast with Dr. Afrin MCAS specialist and he talks some about dry eyes too AND the use of micro-dosing GLP-1 for inflammation in the body.

Thanks for that info @Snapple2020

Hi Carina,

I just saw a new bendy bodies podcast dated 4/26 with an eye doc. They spoke briefly about dry eyes and MCAS and sensitivity to meds. I know I and my daughter both take oral Cromolyn for MCAS but he mentioned using cromolyn drops for dry eyes….might want to check out this podcast

Your welcome Jules. ON a side note, I just watched another Bendy Bodies about Sinus issues and EDS. The ENT suggested it was ok and safe to use Cromolyn eye drops in your ears especially if you get itchy ears re: Mast cell. I have often felt like I wanted to take a pipe cleaner and put it down my ear to my throat because of the itchiness and discomfort. Im definitely gonna try this one. .
