As @Isaiah_40_31 & I have had a look at your report, I did delete it as there was personal info on there to protect your privacy…
The definition of ES is having elongated styloids or calcified stylo-hyoid ligaments and symptoms of ES, which you have, so it’s a bit daft saying that the findings are typically asymptomatic, having had the CT because you’re symptomatic ![]()
Yeah, that’s what makes me so unsure of whether or not I’ve found an answer to these ongoing issues. And they are terrible debilitating so I have extreme anxiety and depression surrounding my health. I just want a black and white diagnosis! Thabks for deleting the report, I wasn’t thinking… I should have cropped it: ![]()
I have had a ct and cta of head and neck, and no mention of any of this. Although it wasn’t ordered to specifically LOOK at my styloid or ligaments there.
the cbct scan report I posted was read by a chiropractic radiologist and I’m not sure in trust them… I mean he is a certified radiologist?? I just want an expert to look and say yes or no. ![]()

Unfortunately, no doctor will say for definite that all your symptoms are ES or not, & that surgery will sort them all, but if you look at the symptoms you have against the known common ES ones, and can clearly see elongated styloids/ calcified ligaments, then the likelihood is that ES is the cause… and surgery is the onlu ‘cure’ for ES. Btw, anxiety is common with ES, not just because you’re having symptoms which doctors have ignored or been unable to explain, but also because the vagus nerve is often irritated and this can cause anxiety! I’ve replied to you other post about getting your images reviewed…
Thank you so much for taking time to help me. I really REALLY appreciate that! I have hypermobility and mcas and some other health problems, but I just really don’t wanna feel like I’m gonna pass out half the time. That’s the worst ever. And the weird pressure in my head where it feels like I want to rip my head off my body. Tinnitus…i just want some of my daily symptoms to ease up so o can cope with the ones that are left. I have an appt with Constantino in August, but 2.5 mo feels like a long time when you can’t function. Thank you so so so much for your responses.
No worries, glad to help…head pressure is awful! Have you asked to be put on a cancellation list if you’re able to go at short notice to see Dr C? quite a few members have been able to get in sooner that way.
