You have small lymph glands on your scalp so it’s possible that the IH or irritation to your trigeminal nerve by your styloids is causing some lymph gland inflammation. Years ago, I got Rubella. Before I ever felt sick, I had small swollen glands on the back of my scalp. That’s when I learned they are there. Since some people do get swollen glands as an ES symptom, this could be part of your body’s reaction to the stress of the this syndrome.
Kevin,
Thank you for the list…I’m also in the same boat with the symptoms. Only mines began when I was 48 (I’m now 50). I was to have surgery with Dr. Hackman in NC on March 22nd, but some jack ass in Los Angeles stole my wallet at a YMCA, so I’m on the wait list now.
What do you think caused your ES? For me, I was rear ended in 2012 at 40MPH about 1/2 a mile from the White House.
Hey HappyBear,
Hopefully you can have the surgery soon. Keep calling them for updates and express how bad your symptoms are getting and maybe they’ll bump you up.
I’m not sure what caused this to be honest. I remember the last thing i did before waking up with those symptoms was cleaning my ears but that was it. I was not involved in anything traumatic to the body.
one of the key points I learned at “caring medical” in FL (which is extremely expensive, and I cannot recommend…I’ll leave at that for now) is that they brought up the problems of the younger generation having been brought up with cell phones. Hence necks being “forward” constantly which may have been a culprit in your developing ES. That’s a wild guess though as you didn’t have anything traumatic…which is good ![]()
