I have long study sessions, I typically get up and walk around every 30 minutes but today I didn’t move for 4 hours and my temple is throbbing and has a crawling feeling ( normal for me ) but my temple became hot, like HOT enough I was shocked by it.
I’m so eager to have surgery. I feel like apart of my body is dying
Did it feel hot to the touch, @Figuringitout , or was it just a sensation of being hot w/o actually being hot to the touch? I’m asking because I had a similar nerve symptom after my second ES surgery. It was along my jaw line. It would have the sensation of being very warm (not hot) that would last for a while it went on for several days. After a while, it started having the sensation it was cold (but not to the touch) in between feeling warm. It was very weird. I chalked it up to being nerve healing. In your case it could be nerve irritation from being in the same position for so long.
Hot to the touch, My ear typically feels warm inside, but never the temple. This is a new symptom for me. I think I’m getting worse recently if that’s possible ( new feelings in my face )
Adding new symptoms to those you’ve had for a while isn’t uncommon. ES is a somewhat progressive problem & the styloids do continue to grow over time. I think even w/ all the muscles in there holding them in place, they still shift around a bit so can come into contact w/ new nerves or new locations on nerves that were already irritated. The feeling of extreme pressure on the back left half of my tongue showed up as one of my later ES symptoms. It was really annoying! Thankfully it was gone when I woke up from my second surgery.
