Who is considered a speacilist in ES, a Nuerologist, or an ENT Dr.?

Hi can anyone tell me if some of there symptoms include, heart palpitations, feeling like your not getting enough oxygen, or trouble breathing especially after slight exertion, and extreme exhaustion. Along with the other symptoms that go along with ES. Thanks

ENT's for sure are the ones who should know, but very few are "specialists in ES. Ask about Elongated Temporal Styloid process, that might get them in the ball park.

Thank you , Emma.~

Hi Nanners. I just saw this post. I experience this (apart from all the “typical” symptoms) and it’s so scary when it happens! I don’t even have to exercise or be exhausted for this to occur… When I get this it normally lasts a few seconds. At the same time I will experience like a slight “pressure” in my throat (I imagine it’s close to where the styloid is). It normally comes when I’m having my flare-ups. It comes and goes in periods in seems like. Is it the same for you? I went to a cardiologist because of this and my heart apparently is in perfect condition. I just got my ES diagnosis a couple of days ago and don’t know wether it’s related to ES, but I more and more believe it’s caused by the ES bones.

I had intraoral surgery on both sides. You need an ENT surgeon who specializes in skull base and/or head and neck surgeries. I hope this helps.

I think also an ENT with skull base skills should be able to understand the problem.

Thank you, I’m looking into finding a good one. Which has been a challenge .
