Husband got his CTV results back. We knew he had ES from two previous doctors and from CT scans. But the neurologist in Dallas wanted the CTV for a clearer picture. Would love insight on this from those versed in reading results. We are scheduled with Hackman for consult and surgery for the same week at the end of August (with hopes of getting seen sooner). Based off of these results, I’m just hoping to clarify that we are good to proceed with him and don’t need more invasive surgery to do the C1 shave. Or does this confirm the opposite?
@Acliff - The radiologist has identified the styloid as being the culprit for your husband’s left IJV compression so I’d say he’s clear to have Dr. Hackman do his surgery. Normally if C-1 is involved, that’s also noted in the radiology report. You can clarify this with Dr. Hackman when you see him.

I’m glad that the CT confirmed IJV compression! I agree with @Isaiah_40_31 that it’s a good idea to confirm this with Dr Hackman… I hope you can get in sooner than August!

Would love to know name of Dallas neurologist as I had to see Fargen in North Carolina to even get diagnosis. Dallas would have been so much closer. I’m having styloidectomy May 27 with Hepworth in Denver

Hopefully @Acliff will let you know who they saw, one of our Texas members was diagnosed by Dr Lee Pride, who works with Dr Babu Welch I believe, he’s an interventional rediologist.

We saw Dr. Chan who gave initial diagnosis but then she referred us to Dr. Babu Welch (neurologist) who ordered testing to confirm vascular. Both are at UT southwestern.
