@Brandy I’m sorry that you didn’t get the infection cleared up earlier, and that you’re still in poor health. I hope that the sinus scan shows something treatable and that the hyperbaric treatment helps, what a long journey you’re on, hugs & prayers for you

@Bmmac you have a long journey too, and especially difficult with the Canadian healthcare system … I hope that you keep seeing more improvements after your surgery

Thanks for all your support, as always.
Thank you for the mold test info. I’ve had some testing done as I lived in a moldy house for 32 years, however, it was also a drafty house so perhaps the effects of the mold are less profound in my case. I’ve been tested for a number of specific types of mold via blood test, but the only one that came up positive was definitely not one for which I have symptoms. It sounds like you’ve left no stone unturned in order to find out what types are affecting you. Thank you for the thorough testing info.
Very sad about the need for the class action lawsuit so close to you. Did your exposure come from a place you were living?
Yes, it was in beloved condo of 23 years. A blood test can not give you a diagnosis. The only blood test that is used is by Mymycolabs. Regular blood testing can not detect CIRS. You need nasal cultures, brain testing, genetic testing to look for the hla genes and all cirs labs. A mycotoxin urine test by real times labs is used. I find many in these groups have mold toxicity. Mold destroys connective tissue. You need a well versed functional dr to test and treat you. You cannot get tested through western medicine as they do not have the knowledge nor were they trained. Mold kills. I have brain damage and systemic nerve damage.
Sorry to hear you were in an accident. I have a TMJ issue, too, probably related to my compression in some way since everything seems to be on my left side. My doc has me doing jaw exercises for that.
I hope your head and eye pressure starts to resolve more from the surgery. It takes a long time for the body to heal and adjust, so I’m sure you will get some relief.
I spoke to Dr. Nakaji’s office today, and they sceduled an appointment for late January. I think there is an issue with my insurance, so it might complicate things if he views me a surgery candidate.
As you say, the journey continues!
Thank you for sharing “the whole enchilada” regarding mold testing, @Brandy. I was seeing a high quality functional med doctor who had me get some testing done, but nothing significant showed up. It wasn’t as extensive as what you’ve been through. We’ve moved to a different state now, & I’m just getting started with someone in the functional field here. Will have a chat w/ her.
I’m very sorry for how debilitated your mold exposure has left you. Is any of the damage reversible?
Not much can be reversed especially with nerve damage. I am having Dr. Ruhoy guide me. She did a muscle biopsy on me in Seattle. The best advice I can give is knowledge is power. I would recommend purchasing the book TOXIC by Neil Nathan. Its a very easy read and explains all the testing needed. I consulted with him as well.
I hope you get some great results from the hyperbaric chamber, @Brandy. I’m sorry for the irreversible damage you’ve suffered. ![]()
I appreciate the words.
