OH Tjmhawk01! Your news just made my day! I’m so excited for you! I’m putting it on my calendar now so I can pray especially for you & your surgeons then. I’m so glad it’s early in May!! The countdown can begin!!
You are just so special! Thank you!
And I can’t help but feel my angels are watching over. After all “May the 4th” be with me (if you’re familiar with the reference)
Got! I’m an old time Star Wars fan. Even stood in line for hours to be one of the first to get in to see The Empire Strikes back (dating myself here…).
Congrats hawk! woo hoo.
Its been a long hard road for you. I hope your surgery goes well and your recovery too. You have alot of knowledge under your belt and it should be smooth sailing from here.
Isaiah, I too stood in line back then with my first son who was about age 3 to see the first star wars!
Thank you! I’m so excited and yet cautiously optimistic! And I look forward to documenting the next phase here in hopes that it helps others.
My dad took me to see Star Wars when I was little. Always wanted to watch all the movies that followed. I have a friend who recently had been knighted as a Jedi. Much like becoming a minister. It’s a very special and demanding process. So very interesting. So each time he tells me, “May the Force be with you” I feel like I’m getting an extra special blessing
May the force be with you indeed! So pleased that you have a date, not too long away! I’ll be praying for you
I have my pre-op assessment this Saturdays
Thank you, Jules!! I just received the call today with my time. 10:25am (central) surgery.
Praying hard that this is the fix!
Oh, I hope we both come out gleaming and healthy! When is your surgery? How are you feeling about all this?
I have my preop on Monday. I had to giggle a little when they asked what my surgery is for. I tried the medical term path and said, “styloidectomy” only to here the scheduler say, “a what???”
Then I go for the “Eagles Syndrome” response and get a confused silence on the other end.
By now I can see I need to explain what all this is fully knowing they have no idea. Furthermore, not knowing what to put for the reason for my preop appt. I told her just to add neck surgery for the reason
That’s a great storyTjmhawk01! I just had a minor surgery this week, & when the anesthesiologist came in, he said, “You have an interesting medical history.” I told him to regale me w/ the details that were interesting, & he turned & said, “You tell me…” I headed right to ES & asked if he’d heard of it, which he had, but I was the first person he’d met who was diagnosed w/ ES & had been treated for it. Seems inconceivable to me but then he works in orthopedics so it makes sense.
Good luck on your surgery!
