I FEEL GREAT
what kind?
Spillit, Sister! :) You know you can't just say that and leave us here with no details, right???? hehe
Well, this attached picture shows what was removed on my right side. and what a difference!! I told Dr C that he played baseball and removed a baseball from my sinuses. That he was a lumberman and removed a stick from inside back of throat. That he was a hunter and removed a chicken bone and frog from front part of my neck (rt side). that he was a squirrel and removed a walnut from the rt side of my neck below my ear. he laughed. the only thing is my ear still hurts inside and around it a little but due to swelling and trauma back there. this crazy thing that he removed he said was near my spine. SOOO these days icing it up and still eating cool smooth stuff. BUT THANKFUL HAD DONE....almost chickened out but the chicken bone won (which wanted out LOL)
437-photo.JPG (953 KB)What was that? is that part of Eagle's ? did you ever feel Pinching in the neck?
Yes it was definitly ES confirmed thru and thru. I had a great radioligist that origianally found it (not many radioligist know about this) and very thankful I had this ONE --- i am very fortunate that I had a local ENT dr who knew DR C and referred me to him. I had pinching, pain, throbing, poking you name it i felt it.
Even tho I dont have original stuff except a little ear trouble and neck sometimes when over o
do ..like on computer long :(
i take ibprofen 600 mg 3 x day and ice almost every 2 hr. for 2 mins. this really really helps...i have a tendency to over do but it reminds me to settle down. I was at my moms for 1 1/2 weeks with my mom, daughter waiting on me hand and foot - loved being spoiled. Now i am getting back to work..this is tough but as i said it reminds me and i ice at work :))
one more thing i have seen comments on this site before regarding MRI done for the spine neck area. I do have some arthritis in my neck at what is is C-4 or 5 or 6 something like that. Any way I am sure i will still have some trouble there but that is minial compared to what i felt with this. But the spine is something not to take lightly as somethings could be wrong there - i would always suggest to get that all checked out too.---as all my home drs did---thankful for my homey supports :0
Pain can be reffered in sooo many ways - drs cant even explain sometimes.
another thing about DR C i loved---everytime you go for any appointment he has you fill out a form asking questions about systoms which you think are assoicated with ES. He does this after surgery too (as i had my post op visit this week). he wants to document these to find out more about ES..being proactive in learning more. that is GREAT
I go back for recheck in 2 months which i think is great too because he wants to make sure it was ES and check with previous systoms. He never lets you hanging..WAY TO GO DR. C your the BEST
Im about to goto the DR. what specifics should I ask him to check. what type of xrays or scans
what state is he in ?

Sounds like a great experience; I hope he gathers enough data to publish! I've thought about being a gopher and calling around to get data to hand over to someone who is qualified to publish. I don't know how realistic that is with HIPPA and me being a nonmed person. My doc here would love to see what Dr C gets as far as data on ES.
Glad to hear you're enjoying your recovery-- awesome!
YAY!!! I will keep my reply short!!:).
Soooo happy for you!! :)
I love that he is gathering info. Wold love to see the results!
I have just been diagnosed after so many months of suffering & doctor visits. Where is this DR.Cognetti located? I have seen a Dr. Tippernini in Altamonte Springs, Florida who is supposed to do my surgery but I don’t know how many he has done or the quality of his work.
Dr, Cognetti is in Philadephia, PA. Thomas Jefferson Hospital

i road elevators and escalators this weekend and no funky feelings felt like a kid keep doing to make sure. i was laughing it was crazy
So happy to hear of your great results! I am scheduled for surgery with Dr. Cognetti on Nov. 1st. I also have cervical degenerative and arthritis. He mentioned the Eagle Syndrome looks like it is effecting that base of my skull too. Wondering how your neck feels now?
Hi Danielle,
