The reason I tend to analyze things this closely is because I’ve had to rely on second opinions to get answers. I’ve learned that clearly framing the question and area of concern makes a big difference in getting a thorough and relevant review.

Some of the info here has been quoted on ChatGPT apparently, which does worry me a bit as we’re not doctors!

I tried Claude months ago but it did not do analyze imaging at that time. I will see if that has changed. Interestingly Gemini did not either but based on research studies I found Gemini and ChatGPT rated tops at analyzing imaging.

The person who mentioned Claude highly recommended it for analyzing imaging though I can’t say whether he tried it for himself or just had second hand information.

Wow, really impressed with Claude! I’m on the free version and asked it to assess the above unmarked MRI image. It provided more detail than ChatGPT, which is so helpful and will guide my next steps.
No offense to those who prefer Grok, but it was very conservative, it found no abnormalities when I asked about the same image framed the same way, and only acknowledged the lesion after I marked it.
@Isaiah_40_31 — I’m glad you brought up Claude. It answered a question that had been weighing on me: whether this lesion is potentially still causing compression on the arteries at C1 and cranial nerves. Claude identified the right-sided paraspinal/extradural soft tissue abnormality and noted possible involvement of the right vertebral artery territory and neural structures, without me having to point anything out first.

It’s always refreshing to find new resources! I’m glad Claude paid off for you in round 2 of your trying it out. I kind of laughed when I heard there is an AI named Claude - that was my paternal grandfather’s name & not one you hear all that often. Unfortunately, he died when my dad was 16 so I never met him.

I was just suspended from Claude and refunded my subscription. Asking healthcare questions and assessing imaging apparently falls under their High-Risk Use Cases. Real bummer because it is was very useful.

No, I think the usage policy is too tight for what most of us are trying to figure out, it falls directly into their “high-risk” use categories. It’s not just healthcare, it also includes insurance, finance and legal, which some of these discussions could naturally touch on.
I was able to gather some valuable information before my access was suspended, but unfortunately my last thread had some great insights that I didn’t get a chance to save outside the platform.

I’m sorry about that, @MGORNEAU! I’ll let the person who passed along the info about Claude to me know. If others try using it for the same purpose you did, your posts will be helpful in letting them know they’ll have a limited time to get the info they want & they’d better save it as they acquire it.
