Just taking a quick survey to see. How many of you with classic ES are also hyper reflexive. ENT seems to think this is NOT related to ES but i know several of you have mentioned it. Cant be a coincidence
I do in my legs (knee reflex) but for me, I had instability in my neck and between my skull and neck requiring fusions. I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome as the cause of my neck instability. I had stenosis, myelopathy and radiculopathy.
My reflexes are still slightly hyper, but nothing like pre-fusion surgery. I would nearly fall off the table and kick the doctor in the face.
Many of us with ES seem to have neck problems as well. It may be a good idea to have a doctor order imaging of your neck to screen for any issues that can cause hyper-reflexia.
