I just had one inch of my hyoid cut off at the greater cornu along with lingual tonsillectomy. I have bad glossopharyngeal neuralgia on Botha sides and lots of other facial pains as well. Is it possible for hyoid to come into contact with glossopharyngeal nerve. We thought it was my styloid but doct said CT scan didt whoa it being abnormal. Please anyone who could help would be appreciated.
Can you tell yet if the surgery was good? how did they diagnoise you? Did they start with trigger point injections or was it threw a xray.Thanks
