I think there’s alot we don’t understand about how the nervous system can work, pain cycles, remembered pathways, sensitisation etc! I hope you’re feeling better ![]()
Not that you’d be wanting to live w/ chills/fever, but it is interesting that aspect of your reaction to the injection stopped your facial pain for a bit. What AI & @Jules suggested is interesting.

Now, you’re showing your age, (even I can remember that one
)
But I think you’ll find its ‘C+C Music Factory’
Merl from the Modsupport Team
@sbincamp - After Merl’s post, I had to look up that song on Youtube & listen to it. I’m older than you are but had never heard of it. It has a pretty wild video to go along with the song. Glad I’ve heard it now. ![]()
Yeah, you’re right. 50+.
Though, I was always more into techno, trance, or happy hardcore. Scooter started around that time, so did Blümchen, but also KLF, Robert Miles, etc. Or just DJs (Tiësto, Armin, etc.).
I’m possibly also showing my European origins… (with much respect to Detroit for techno, or Chicago for its style of house, of course)
Often, as decades pass, the music from those decades is reduced to a “stereotype” set of songs that oldies radio stations play (BTW, US radio stations suck so bad), so all the interesting stuff gets forgotten. I sometimes have to “rummage” through YouTube to find the gems I’ve forgotten as well. Stuff that was never mainstream, but was great in its genre, nonetheless.
@sbincamp - I have a somewhat eclectic taste in music, but there are some genres I never listened to much. Sadly, my early musical range was classical or top 40 hits on the radio
. My son is a bit of a “musicophile” & listens to more “interesting” stuff as you say. He hears things in music that I’d miss if he wasn’t pointing it out. He tends more toward heavy metal, but is actually somewhat diverse in his musical tastes but differently than I am. Though I don’t enjoy the vocals, the instrumental aspects of heavy metal are often quite complex compared to the repetitive tunes & rhythms in other types of musical genres.
Always impressed by your knowledge and analysis ![]()
Thank you!! Unfortunately I had to become good at reading imaging because some radiologists don’t seem to know how to do their jobs - at least for these more rare conditions.
I wish I had your talent ![]()
Have a great evening!!

SHHH, you didn’t have to say it out loud
Makes my bones ache just seeing it

All of those names from my night clubbing days… No wonder my bones ache ![]()

50 is the new 40.
40 is the new 30.
30 is the new 20.
I’m 20, therefore. ![]()
Were it not for the facial pain and sciatica, I’d be in decent shape overall.
For all of us, once we pass 45, it is extremely important to exercise all of calisthenics, weights, and cardio. Not for looks, but for health*.* Furthermore, Americans are more sedentary (car culture), so it is even more important in N. America to move and exercise.
@sbincamp - Couldn’t agree with you more! Muscle loss due to hormone loss/changes is a BIG deal for us older people. Gotta stay strong!!
