Pill Induced Esophagitis?

I’ve made a note of the date… not great to go into surgery knowing it won’t fix everything, but at least you’re prepared! You’ve been a great source of info on here, so pleased to be able to pray for you  :hugs:

Off topic but I had a massage because my muscles were super tight around my neck, and causing me more migraines than normal. I’ve had a chiropractor in the past and everything has been fine when I got that done, but after this massage I felt dizzy and am feeling my pre-syncope feelings. I don’t understand why this is happening, I about fell when I got out of the bed and when I was redressing. The doctor said there was vascular eagles so idk why I would be feeling this way. My balance is back to mostly normal but I’m still feeling some pre-syncope. Thought you guys might know a little?

We’ve had other members who have vascular ES & had a similar response to massage & chiropractic care. It may have happened because massage stimulates circulation in the areas that are massaged, & since your massage focus was neck muscles, the increased blood flow trying to get through obstructed arteries/veins likely heightened your symptoms.

I see, thank you for letting me know. I was already nervous getting the massage, and my therapist was also a touch nervous to do it because of my ES, so I got really concerned when I was suddenly having those symptoms. She even said she read that we aren’t supposed to get massages (yes she read up on the condition because she’s very sweet )? I was mostly convinced my syncope was from blood volume, but now I’m more concerned. I would worry about pots but it doesn’t always flare up from getting up or moving around a lot (though if I’m moving for more than 5 minutes of extensive movement it’ll come up), and it’s normally when I’m sitting down.

I currently do not have access to my ct scan, but I’ve asked my mom to import some photos so I am able to show you guys. I definitely want a second opinion on it. I’ll make a post on it once I get the photos. I appreciate you guys so much! :purple_heart:

Hopefully next wednesday I see someone who at least knows about ES, but how much I am uncertain. I am also scared of meeting an other ignorant, but thx to this forum,I hope I can assert for myself better now. :grimacing: THX

@EMB2004 , what a shame you felt so wobbly after the massage…I guess VES looks more likely, although it’s difficult to say for certain when you have POTS too, it might even be vagus nerve involvement perhaps?
@Gerty I hope your appointment goes well, let us know how you get on :hugs:
