I had a small knot at the end of my scar from the stitch end. This is what flattened out within a week. My surgeon says the scar will begin to start softening around 3 mos. But so far, I see a notable difference in appearance (not entirely with that “ropey” feeling under the scar but def the appearance).
Attached is my scar at a couple days past 8 weeks. The first 7 weeks I used Vit E and Mederma. Now I use exclusively the Cica Care strips as many hours as I can (but note, they do fall off with oils and sweat along with sleeping) and I’ll also use Vit E when I massage the scar.
