Yeah, this was your opinion after I posted the pics on my 1st topic post.
The CT report said the greater cornua is slightly prominent, but who knows what ‘slightly’ means, so you definitely have skills in reading scans @Isaiah_40_31 !!
Before surgery, Dr Hughes and I left it at “if you (surgeon) think the hyoid bone is causing issues, then shave a bit off, if not, leave as is”. Maybe I should have said to just cut it (as long as there was no risk) - and that way we could rule it out at the very least
Still a big possibility the cornua isn’t playing a role (and I am hoping that’s the case,). It may well be nerve hyper sensitivity, or phonating muscle dysfunction over 4 years as was impinged on by the styloid, and that may need time and even therapy to get them working properly again.
All post op pain is pretty much gone, but I am still taking the meds partially just in case.
