Anyone have a pregnancy after eagles syndrome surgery? How did you make out? Thanks!
Also a thought of mine. If I do have an underlying connective tissue disorder ( thought to have caused eagles??) then what detriment would this be to pregnancy? Awaiting genetic testing, but my biological clock is ticking…
Pregnancy hormones make tendons & ligaments more lax so your body can “expand” as it needs to during pregnancy. If you already have connective tissue problems or ligament laxity, those can predispose you to more easily injure your joints if, for example, you exercise too hard or do much heavy lifting during pregnancy. Since connective tissue disorder/ligament laxity can also be hereditary issues, it is good to know ahead of time if you have something like that so you can be more cautious.
That would be an interesting question to ask if there are any EDS forums/ advice sites… for example whether you’d be more prone to symphysis pubis dysfunction?
I hadn’t even considered that idea! I will surely get check that out, follow up with my genetic testing results and see what my OBGYN has to say.
Thank you all!
