Sorry Isaac, just saw I mistook your PmB question as coming from Jules. Went for my first Novothor today. Will be starting Thor low level laser threatment with wonderful Chiro in Oct who helped me before. Will post notes on how helping soon. D

Hi, so Cica Silicone Gel Dressing finally here🎉 not cheap! Am going to start 4 hours on old scar today to check no reactions. Then if ok will start on neck scar next.
My scar at day 18 is doing ok and swelling is reducing a lot but hoping this Cica product will accelerate wound recovery for me

Mr Hughes said it’s in a neck crease so won’t show once healed. Not normal for gentleman to comment on my neck creases, but as he is helping me will forgive him

Historically I do tend to get bad scars after surgery. So for me this is looking ok at this stage. Cica on “old scar trial” moved today, so going to try micro tape to see if helps keep it in place. Know that is easy to remove as have to wash Cica during use. D
Your incision looks good at 3 weeks post op! Mine looked like a caterpillar clinging to the side of my neck. 
Thanks, you are all very kind. So the micro tape seems to have worked to keep Cica in place on old scar. Instructions said only 4 hours, but if we followed pharma/medic instructions 100% we’d all probably be dead. So as no obvious signs of irritation, heat nor inflammation so I am going to leave it on while sleep. If all ok in morning will try it for 4 hrs only on neck scar (as instructions say). D🤞

So Cica on old scar with micro tape stayed in place overnight & no adverse reaction. So will try Cica on new neck scar this evening for 4 hours b4 sleep to see how it goes.

Brief CICA update- been too slow & undisciplined about starting use of CICA silicone gel dressing. Had used silicone gel but scar at front of neck started to “draw”skin in so today did 4 hour start of CICA on scar. Could see it had helped today. So will now try to step up hours worn. It is hard to keep in place at front of neck scar where moves when swallow etc but micro tape helped. Hoping can try to speed up healing now. D
