so I met with the doctor again yesterday before going to surgery in one or two months time and he is planning to remove my right styloid and ligament with a small incision behind the ear , I have a little bit of calcification where the small horn of the hyoid bone is ! I was meant to ask the surgeon how he could reach the calcification by the small horn with one incision behind the ear only! but I forgot ! can anyone shed some light over this please and tell me whether this is possible or not ?
Glad you've had your appt., and are able to get surgery done! I couldn't remember the date you were seeing Mr Axon- if I'd realised we could've met up, as I had my scan at Addenbrooks yesterday!
Hopefully you'll get to ask prior to op if that's worrying you, or maybe you could ring his secretary? I suppose if they can do all sorts of ops keyhole with tiny incisions, perhaps he can do something like that for you?
Did you ask about your worrying symptoms with veins distending etc?
Let us know when you get your op date!
yes jules I asked him about my veins and asked if I was at risk of having a stoke ! he said no !!
Does he think that your styloids are compressing veins in your neck? Or didn't he say?
He didn't say !! but I believe they are !! Did you get your CT scan results ?
