I am new to the forum. I am wondering how your surgery went with Dr Cognetti. My insurance will not cover surgery done by Dr. Cognetti but if he’s a good as I hear, I may have to bite the bullet and pay out of pocket.

@lydiah - As far as I know Dr. Cognetti has the lowest cash price of any of the ES surgeons on our forum. For vascular ES cases, he utilizes the skills of Dr. Heller, a neurosurgeon, in case the transverse process of C1 needs to be shaved. Dr. Heller’s fee is in addition to Dr. Cognetti’s & is higher.
