So Dr Gregory Artz and Candice Colby Scott both do not work with ES patients Dr.Artz doesn’t know anything about the surgery and has never done one and Candice Scott won’t even see patients for this anymore. I’m going to try to get in and see Dr Borjab Sr. as his son is also a Dr so I would not that on the list that his son and him are two different people. Just thought I would give you a heads up so everyone knows. Thanks

Also found another one Dr Richard Nelson in Toledo Ohio unfortunately passed away. He’s still on the list. He was one of the closer ones as far as distance but may he rest in peace.

Danielle Basilico from Cleveland clinic also does not treat this. I called and scheduled a appointment with her office and asked if she did just to double check and she does not they said so they cancelled that appointment with her and are now looking for a Dr there to treat me. When they reach back out i can let you know who they are giving me.

I’m sorry that Dr. Botallico isn’t treating ES anymore. We heard that from another member, too. I’ll take her off our Doctors List. I hope you’re given the name of someone else who is willing to help you soon!

Sorry that she was on our list & no longer doing the surgery…seems like as fast as we find a new doctor who does the surgery we hear of several who no longer are!

That’s for sure. I found a Dr yesterday that has done surgeries for this and he basically said to me that my Dr caused this mess so go back to him and when I said he was fired he says he’s not going to help me. This is what keeps happening I look like damaged goods to these drs so they want nothing to do with me. The one I seen two weeks ago said I need to just keep the clips in and deal with it and keep taking the Vicodin. I’m so disgusted by the health care system any more it’s sickening.

I’m so, so sorry about the attitude you’re getting from the doctors you’ve seen. There has to be someone who will help you. Please keep “knocking” until the right “door” is opened for you. I’ll keep praying!
Thank you I feel like I’m living in a nightmare that I can’t get out of. They are all scared to help me and all I keep hearing is you don’t want surgery again do you your gonna make more scar tissue but the fact that I’m suffering and have done everything possible including injections doesn’t seem to matter to anyone all they see is I’m damaged and a liability.

In my non-medical opinion, scar tissue would potentially be less of a problem than the clips even if a bit more develops. Not only that, but the previous scar tissue from your initial surgery can be somewhat removed at the time the clips are taken out. Sigh…I understand doctors not wanting to cause you more pain or make themselves liable for creating other problems for you, but at some point, I think it’s worth the risk to help a patient who’s in terrible pain due to an obvious reason.

I agree with you because these clips have caused me nothing but trouble and pain. I’m doing an allergy patch test now and if I am allergic they have no choice but to take them out but I don’t really feel much with these on me so doubt that will help me. I’m getting nerve testing done finally today because my mouth is burning neck and throat burn the headaches are diabolical as my neck has been in spasm since April so the headaches never go away it’s as stiff as can be. The swallowing and just talking kills my throat cause it feels like it scraping over and over when I talk or eat. I think I have done all I can do at this point just waiting for the good lord to send me the right Dr.

I’m so sorry that you’re struggling to find a doctor to help, it’s just crazy… I’m sorry, I can’t remember but did you ever try Dr Osborne? I know he’s expensive and a way away but it might be worth getting his opinion and whether he would be willing to do the surgery- I don’t know if he agrees, if you could then take that report back to your insurance company and appeal? Or take legal action against the hospital where you had the surgery; I don’t know the US system for complaints, but if he was employed by them do they not have to take some accountability for it? Praying that you can find a solution, sending you a hug

No I haven’t seen Dr.Osborn right now money is very tight as my husband is the only one working. So I reached out to a Henry ford patient advocate and she said she was going to get back to me because they were not aware any of this was happening and the clips were never listed in my surgical notes and I was never told of them. So yes I would say this is an issue. I was told by his office they don’t have anyone to give me and I have that on voicemail so someone’s gonna have to step up cause my insurance paid out for these surgeries a lot of money.

Sounds like you have a good legal case, @ShelbyH. Good job keeping voicemails & any email, & insurance documentation you have. I hope the patient advocate comes through for you with a doctor who will help you!

Me too! I will keep you guys posted because I’m going to need a Dr that knows a lot or has done procedures for eagles syndrome that’s one of the hardest parts about this.
