Hi there everybody,

@Roeagle - The first week post op is the most difficult & days 3-5 or 6 post op are when the swelling from surgery is at its peak. As the swelling begins to reduce over the next 4-6 weeks your brain fog should begin disappearing, too.
When vascular compression is present w/ ES, it can take a while for the brain to adjust to the new level of blood flow. Brain fog can be part of that adjustment period.
Do you have to go back to work soon? I hope you’re able to take 2-4 weeks off since you’ve just had a very major surgery.
Well,i can stay home, but i want to get better soon. I had a major surgery as my left side was 8 cm long and 6 thick.
5 days post surgery is very early days, as @Isaiah_40_31 says that 's peak swelling time, you had bilateral surgery too which means even more swelling… Depending on what anesthesia you had, those drugs can take a while to get out of your system so it could be partly that as well; I felt pretty spaced out initially after surgery.
So take care of yourself & don’t overdo things, with ES surgery particularly you do have to be patient with recovery!
oh…no…that serious😭 Glad you are done. Mine is coming in a few days🙏
When is your surgery?
The surgery date is June 9th
I have surgery scheduled on the 16th. We can compare recoveries. Lol
God bless you🙏keep each other updated😅
I will say a prayer for you too.
thanks a lot👍
Hope it’s ok if I ask: who did your surgery? Desperate to have mine done. Thx.
Also, Hope someone knows more about brain fog for your sake.
For me I’ve found a product that really helps. Called “Brain…” I can now order it in Canada from Youthful Brain. I’m sharper than a tack on this stuff which is necessary for my profession: writing books.
What is your name? I will pray for you. Are you nervous? I am really, sometimes wake up at night and think about it. Also watched a video with the surgery🙈
Timothy, and you?
Luba. Russian name.

Thank you, I am not good with how to navigate here
@Roeagle Every symptom I had got worse initially after surgery. I actually felt like that was a good sign that those things would improve once the swelling decreased. And that’s what happened, including brain fog. Sending you good thoughts.
Youbare actualy so right…i’m feeling better after 10 days, looking forwards for the 4 -6 weeks recovery to get back to normal
Glad that things are improving for you
