Sounds like it was a tricky surgery, & early days yet…

Thank you for the update, @dreamliner. With your compression & nerve involvement being as bad as they were, you’re right, it may be a slower recovery. You’re also correct that w/ the other side being just as bad, you may not get a really good recovery until the other IJV is also opened up. I’m sorry for that but am glad you’re young so hopefully that gives you an advantage w/ the speed with which you heal.
I hope PT helps your SAN recovery move a long more quickly but be careful not to overdo even w/ PT as you don’t want to perpetuate nerve irritation. You’ll be able to tell the difference between “good pain” & “bad pain”, I’m pretty sure.

Thanks so much @RobotEagle ! I’m recovering pretty well from the surgery itself, and just hit four week post op today. No real complications and my arm that was affected from the SAN movement has improved a lot, even before starting PT. Overall headache pain seems lower, although it spikes back to/above normal with stimulation, or sometimes at random in the evening. Still waiting for my ANS to catch up, hopefully helping with dysautonomia & MCAS some. It’s hard being patient but I’m glad for what has been a pretty smooth recovery thus far, and hopeful I can see some improvements as the months continue on
