Canadian patient

Hello to all :grinning_face:

I am Canadian living in Eastern Canada. I am considering Dr. Hackman in North Carolina. I called his office to start the process this morning. I already know (from another physician) that I have calcified ligaments. If you have any advice or comments about my undertaking, please donโ€™t hesitate to share with me.

Thanks :folded_hands::blush::grin:

Hi Hamela! Iโ€™ve given you some info in a private message but for othersโ€™ benefit Iโ€™ll reply here too; Iโ€™ve suggested Dr Costantino in NY & Dr Cognetti in PA as it seems you have vascular ES, and they will be able to address this. Dr Hackman is a good surgeon, but the other two doctor are more experienced with VES.

Jules,

I appreciate all the information :grinning_face:

ES is uncharted territory for me. I learn so much from this group.

Thanks :folded_hands:

Hey Hamela,

I live in London, Ontario. Iโ€™ve been in contact with a Facebook Eagle member from the UK now living on Cape Breton Island. This member has contacted the office of Dr. Kamran Aghayev in Istanbul, Turkey where the surgery will be performed in about 2 weeks. The member contacted his office about 1 month ago. This doctor looks to have a great resume with various surgeries. Iโ€™m interested in this doctor because that he does bilateral styloidectomies in 1 surgery. Iโ€™ve been told around $8-9 K USD per side by member. Very low cost pricing considering both sides done at once. Istanbul is the hub for foreign citizens surgeries. You might consider contacting his office.

Hi,

Many thanks for the information. I visited Turkey before for pleasure only. I prefer to keep my journey in the USA for now.

Take care :grinning_face:
