Decompression surgery with Costantino

Thank you so much for your reply. I am just now seeing it. Not sure why my phone didn’t notify me but glad to hear what you have to say. That will be helpful at my appointment.

I am unable to upload my imaging right now so I went ahead and mailed my CD images to Dr Constantino and he should have received them this past Monday. I have been talking with Shantal, his MA, who said once they receive the images she might be able to move up my appointment from February 8th. So far I’ve not heard anything. I have had several tests done and I emailed them to Shantel for Dr. Constantino to see, but I was surprised, according to Shantel, he only asked to see 4 of the tests, and the only one that showed the styloids by the Chiropractor was not requested, according to her. I sent the CD to Dr. Constantino of this anyway, along with the Chiropractor notes. I put a note on it saying to Dr Constantino that I wasn’t sure if he might like to see these (I also included another CD I thought might be important). But interestingly, my Chiropractor initially said the styloids were 6 cm each, but he wrote 3.8 and 3.7 cm in his report. I hope Dr Constantino will look at the imaging and make his decisions and not from the written reports because they almost notoriously are inaccurate, this being just one example.

I have so many symptoms, I was thinking just to give him the main symptoms of the extreme , sudden BP attacks, pounding, throbbing, vibration in the back of my head, 24/7 tonight is, brain fog, and not really mentioned the time to time sore throats, tingling and numbness in my hands and arms during the night, and eye phosphenes that I see when I close my eyes, Even though I believe the vibration in my head is causing the phosphenes because of the vibration on probably that cranial nerve.

Well, if you think of anything else that would be helpful, please let me know.

I have never had a dynamic CT or any other CT of my neck done. I was wondering if Dr Constantino would be able to order out of state testing or would he want me to have tests done here in Florida where I live. Did Dr Constantino order any other tests for you or did he just go by the ones that you already had?

The CTV was the most important one for me. Was that one you sent to him?

CTV with contrast was he important one for me. You can have it done just about anywhere and then upload the files to their website

Well I was just wondering should I do the consultation and let him tell me that I need that or should I be asking him to order it for me down here in Florida. I have never had that test done yet so I have nothing to send him about that. I have never had any CT of my neck down of any kind, but I have always felt that the neck is the issue at least in some way possibly.

In other words, if he doesn’t see a test already done that he thinks would be helpful, would he order it after our Consult or does he expect me to have already had these done? Were yours done before you ever saw Dr. Constantino?

By the way, I had a CT Venous BRAIN with and without contrast, but that was not one his MA said he asked to send.

@GodisAWESOME - Do not get any scans done until you have your consult w/ Dr. Costantino. Since you have an appt. with him, he obviously thinks your symptoms are worth discussing. If he wants you to get a CTV w/ contrast, he’ll order it after you meet with him.

I had uploaded what I had, and he ordered CTV with contrast to confirm. He will definitely order any additional imaging that you need. However, if you already have a CTV done, I would definitely upload that to www.bssny.com and let them know you added it.

I agree, but I would upload everything I have, and let them know. :+1:

My computer CD door is jammed so I will have no choice but to mail them to him. And like I told Wendy, he only asked for four of the 20 or so tests I’ve had done which surprises me because the one that shows the styloids from the chiropractor he did not ask for. So at this point I’m getting all my information from his MA and she said he only requested four of the tests that I’ve had done and the styloid test was not one of them. I find that strange. Did you work directly with Dr Constantino or did you send things in advance through his MA?

Also, I only had a CT Venus BRAIN done. I’m assuming that is different than a CT neck. According to his MA, he did not ask for it…

Look on your computer CD door. If there is a small pinhole, straighten out a paper clip and push it in there, and it may release the door to open it.
Don’t worry, too much about the length of the styloids, I’m sure the imaging he asked for he’ll be able to see initially what he needs to see. When it comes to jugular vein compression, the styloid’s are only one part of what he would do to resolve anyway. In Dr. C we trust👍 you’re in good hands.

Thank you very much. I think I tried that once but I will try again to see if it will work. You’re a wealth of information Mr. Barootz!!!

By the way, did you work with Chantel his MA in the beginning getting everything set up to see him etc?

Good day to you!

Hey, it worked this time! So I’m going to try to upload a CD. So you would say to upload all of the ones that I have regardless if he asked for them correct?

I have some very very very long MRIs that were done in Miami. They were probably an hour and a half each. They were called 3TMR myelograms of the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spines without contrast. He probably wouldn’t need these I guess or maybe just the cervical one.

Shantel is newer, but she is great.

Ran into a little snag. I opened the door put the CD in but when I closed it nothing happened nothing popped up anywhere and I don’t know where to go to figure it out. I’m not very computer literate. LOL

Did the surgery help with your tinnitus and headaches? Do you have pulsatile tinnitus? Would you say your tinnitus is a tone in your ears, a whooshing sound that corresponds your heart beat or a cicada like sound ir sensation in your brain? Any information you can pass along is greatly appreciated. In my 5 th year of this. I rolled over in bed twisted my neck and my head started with tinnitus sensation and headaches

My tinnitus is a constant high pitched whistle. Not pulsative.
My brain fog and daily hangover feeling resolved after decompression.
Tinnitus remains.
Have you been checked for SCDS?
