In the past there was a list rotating on doctor’s who treat ES in each specific state. Can anyone share that list please. I am now in Charleston, SC and decided to try again getting some help because nothing else is explaining this constant dizzy, disoriented, brain fog, weakness, fatigue, tinnitus feeling. I am told everything from fibromyalgia to Chronic fatigue syndrome and now jumping through so many hoops and procedures to “rule out” to get a diagnosis of POTS.
@painintheneck - The symptoms you listed are pretty consistent w/ those caused by internal jugular vein compression. Unfortunately, none of the doctors who take care of this are in your state.
•Dr Peter Costantino - Institute for Specialized Surgery - info@iss.org - Does telehealth consults.
•Dr David Cognetti, Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia 215- 955- 6760 Works with Dr Heller now to do C1 shaves David M Cognetti MD | Jefferson Health Does do online or phone consults.
thank you! I saw Dr. Cognetti back in 2013 in Philly. I didn’t get a good feeling that it was something I wanted to do and felt confident/comfortable with our meeting.
Dr. Cognetti is currently booking initial consults (I believe you’d be starting all over again w/ him) in April or May next year so it will be a bit of wait to see him but he’s branched out to also doing IJV decompression surgeries & not just styloidectomies. We’ve had good reports about outcomes from his surgeries from many of our members.
The two doctors who you’re most likely to get earlier appointments with are Dr. Liu & Dr. Costantino.
I’m sorry your symptoms have stuck with you & you’re now at a point where you’re having to consider surgery. On the upside, the surgical techniques & thoroughness of vascular decompression have improved a lot since 2013.
