Hello,
I was wondering if anyone could provide feedback on my imaging I uploaded. I am mostly concerned with my right jugular at this time. Could anyone help me identify the structure wrapped around the jugular at C1? I am familiar with the transverse process squishing my jugular, I was just curious about the other structures that are identifiable.
Regards,
Chris
@IJVHelp - I don’t see anything wrapped around your IJV just compression from C1/styloid(?). In one image a very diminutive internal carotid artery passes over the top of the IJV, but it doesn’t look like it’s causing compression in the image you posted. Can you annotate any of your images to show what you’re seeing?

I see that your C1 is rotated to the left, which could be why the transverse process is compressing the IJV on the right side.
A large collateral vein is also visible on the right side behind C1, which proves venous outflow obstruction.
The styloid processes are not visible from these angles, so it is not possible to know if there is stylojugular compression.
