Is this Hyoid Bone Syndrome or ES? (Need Help)

The globus sensation is typical of ES, (it’s not necessarily that there’s anything blocking your throat, it’s because nerves in the area get irritated), the clicking throat is more often seen either with HBS, or when the stylo-hyoid ligaments calcify at the hyoid end. As @virenlondon says, when you get the CT images you can upload them (remove personal info though) & we can have a look to see if there’s anything obvious- it’s unfortunate but many radiologists miss this.
It is very common for ES to flare up, sometimes there’s an obvious reason, but often for no apparent reason. Some members have had symptoms abate for long spells. Finding your throat symptoms worsen with certain emotions isn’t unusual either, see this discussion by @nancyh :
