Needing support, please

That’s good you have an appt with the pain management doc & a neuro appt too coming up, hopefully they’ll be able to help…I’m not too sure about the ligaments, but good that it does go with lying down. I just wonder if maybe the position your head & neck were in during surgery has aggravated the ligaments? Thinking of you, I know having failed surgery before was a worry for you, but as @Isaiah_40_31 says, the fact that you’re having the odd days which are better is really positive, so hang in there  :hugs:

Tjm,

Do you get any regular massage for the tight ligaments? I have found either acupuncture or dry needling to be helpful to get those tight ligaments to release. I tried something new this week at an oral facial pain center…injections of numbing agent all over my neck and temples. It was actually nice to be numbed up and have no pain even for a short while. There is a school of thought in some pain clinics that by inserting needles into these tight ligaments can be helpful in getting them to release. I have also found cranial-sacral therapy to be helpful…hard to find a good PT that does it or an osteopath.

This is really a great idea! I was doing dry needling preop so maybe I revisit this as now it may actually work! Thank you!!
